Vanessa Nuala Kirby (born April 18, 1988) portrayed Alanna Mitsopolis/White Widow, the daughter of Max Mitsopolis and the younger sister of Zola Mitsopolis in Mission: Impossible – Fallout and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, and she will reprise her role in Mission: Impossible 8.
Early Life[]
Kirby is a British actress who has appeared in movies such as Everest, Me Before You, About Time, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw and The World to Come. Mostly known for her role of Princess Margaret in the Netflix's first original British series: The Crown (2016). She won the Volpi Cup for Best Actress for her performance as a grieving mother Martha Weiss in the drama Pieces of a Woman (2020). She recently received the Oscar nomination again for her role as Martha Weiss in Pieces of a Woman. In 2022, she replaced Jodie Comer as Empress Josephine in the 2023 historical drama film Napoleon opposite Joaquin Phoenix as Napoleon, directed by Ridley Scott, for which she won the AACTA International Award for Best Supporting Actress. On February 14, 2024, it was announced that Kirby was cast as Susan "Sue" Storm / Invisible Woman in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film The Fantastic Four, which is scheduled to be released in Summer 2025 as part of Phase Six of the MCU.
