Marie is a character who appears in flashbacks in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning. She is currently assumed to be Ethan Hunt’s lover, or otherwise someone in whom he took a romantic interest, and was murdered by Gabriel.

Early Life[]
Currently unknown. What little is known of her presence in Hunt’s life is also largely a mystery.
Rock and Hard Place[]
In the flashback, Gabriel threatened Marie at gunpoint until Hunt appears before shooting Marie and leaving her for dead. Ethan arrives too late to save her, however, and she dies in his arms.[1]
Legacy[]
After Ethan imprisoned some time later, he is contacted by Eugene Kittridge, who recruited him into the Impossible Mission Force. Nearly 35 years later, Marie is finally avenged when Ethan manages to kill Gabriel in order to stop the Entity.[2]
