Early Life[]

Dead Reckoning[]

Grace was contacted remotely by an anonymous individual who hired her to steal Ethan's half of the key. At her employer's direction, Grace went to the airport and began searching for Ethan and the Buyer in order to obtain their halves of the key. Grace first targeted the Buyer and pickpocketed him, only for Ethan to take notice and confront her. Ethan pickpocketed the key she had taken from the Buyer, but discovered it was a fake. He then persuaded her to give the fake key back to the Buyer so they could go through with the transaction and discover what he wanted with Ethan's half, but when they found the Buyer again, they discovered he had been killed. Grace was then able to slip away and board a plane to Rome, leaving Ethan behind at the airport.

Upon arriving in Rome, however, Grace was detained by the authorities, only to encounter Ethan again. After following Grace's trail, Hunt posed as her lawyer in order to regain the key from her. Grace escaped the police and Ethan simultaneously, stealing a police car as her getaway. Ethan gave chase on a police motorcycle, only for the two to be cornered by a team of US agents led by Jasper Briggs and the Italian police. It was then that a squad of the Entity's henchmen led by Paris arrived in an armored vehicle and opened fire on everyone, buying Ethan and Grace a chance to escape. Grace attempted to slip away from Ethan again, only to find he had handcuffed himself to her. The two drove away in the police car, with Paris giving pursuit in her vehicle, but after the car was totalled, they switched to a smaller, more advanced car in the guise of a vintage car. Paris continued to pursue them, but they were able to evade her by driving into a small tunnel too narrow for her armored vehicle to fit through. The tunnel led to some railroad tracks, where Grace was able to pick the lock to the handcuff with a paperclip and clamp her handcuff around the steering wheel to give herself enough time to get away again. She then tossed Ethan the paperclip so he could use it to pick the lock before fleeing.

Grace attended a party hosted by the White Widow where her employer had agreed to meet her, only to discover her employer was the White Widow herself, who held the actual other half of the key. Grace and the White Widow were then approached by several parties interested in the key, including Gabriel, Ethan and Ilsa Faust. It was at this point that Gabriel revealed his intentions to kill either Ilsa or Grace, stating that the Entity had calculated that him doing so would ensure he would get the key on the Orient Express tomorrow. When the White Widow refused to give the key to any of them just yet, Ethan attacked her bodyguards and Gabriel's goons to give her and Ilsa time to escape. Grace fled but Gabriel soon caught up to her. Grace attempted to fend him off with a knife, but Gabriel was able to overpower her. Before Gabriel could kill her, however, Ilsa showed up and attacked him, leading Gabriel to kill her instead.

Capture103

Feeling guilty that Ilsa had died to save her, Grace agreed to work with the IMF to recover both halves of the key. The IMF came up with a plan for Grace to disguise herself as the White Widow, slip on board the Orient Express and take the White Widow's place, discover who she planned to sell the key to, and slip away with both halves of the key. Ethan planned to join her by disguising himself as the White Widow's brother Zola, but the mask-making machine shorted out while making his mask, forcing him to find another way to get on the train.

to escape.

During the fight, Grace continued towards the last compartment, disposed of her coat she was wearing and tied up her hair to get outside before climbing to the steam engine from the outside. She tried to stop the train from running, but Gabriel detonated bombs he had placed on the train's bridge to derail it, resulting in Ethan and Grace dangling over a ledge in a train car that was able to plummet into the ravine below the destroyed bridge. However, both were saved by Paris, who had been betrayed and injured earlier by Gabriel. While Ethan parachuted off the train, Grace met with Kittridge and revealed her intentions to join the IMF.
