A professional assassin who went by an undetermined number of aliases but most recently known as Matthew Drake. The key to his effectiveness was the fact that he made all decisions, including the method of his assassination, at random and at the last moment. Making it almost impossible to predict where, when and how would will strike.
Drake's successful assassination of IMF agent Tom Copperfield was the catalyst for IMF veteran Jim Phelps to come out of retirement and lead a new team of agents.
Even though his tactics relied on random elements, Drake was meticulous, ruthlessly efficient and focused. It was only when the IMF team duped him into believing his employer, Scorpio had betrayed him did he lose his cool and inadvertently lead the IMF team to Scorpio's home base.
Drake was last seen being taken away on an ambulance gurney after exchanging gunfire with his former employer.
