Erika Sloane is a major character in the 2018 action thriller film Mission: Impossible – Fallout. She is a former director of the Central Intelligence Agency who succeeded Alan Hunley following his nomination of Secretary of the IMF and the former superior of August Walker.

While Sloane was August Walker's superior, she was not only a strict CIA director but disliked the Impossible Mission Force (IMF), referring to them as "Halloween" mostly. After the events that happened in Kashmir, Sloane had her trust confirmed within Ethan Hunt, his team and the rest of the IMF, stating that the world truly needs the IMF.

- In Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, during the early scene where members of the Intelligence Community conduct a briefing at the Director of National Intelligence's office, a photograph of a woman bearing the likeness of Erika Sloane hangs on the wall of The Director of National Intelligence's office and similar to every portrait of President of the United States in the office of high-ranking government official. It is possible that sometime between Mission: Impossible - Fallout and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, Sloane either stepped down from her position as director of the Central Intelligence Agency or her tenure ended and following that entered into politics thus leading her to be elected as the new President of the United States and appointing Eugene Kittridge as the new director of the Central Intelligence Agency.
