Early life[]
Little is known about Erik's early life other that he is an American medical professional who met Julia Meade-Hunt and married her between 2011 and 2017 after she and Ethan Hunt agreed to separate due to national security and her own security.
Meeting Ethan Hunt[]
Erik accompanies Julia to Kashmir to help with the smallpox epidemic and meets Ethan Hunt while he is talking to Julia. The spy introduces himself as Dr. Rob Thorne and Erik talks to him about their life and guardian. He meets Ethan again when he is taken to back to the medical camp after his fight with August Walker.
